In the past, spots were allocated per university student group.  This year, we will be accepting individual requests, which will be reviewed on a first come first served basis. 

To sign up for the College Bowl you must first register for the HENAAC Conference and select the box indicating your request to participate.  To be selected you must first submit your registration payment and upload your resume.  You must also be available to check in on Thursday, October 9th in the afternoon.  If selected to participate, you will be notified via email by September 5, 2008.

Unfortunately, due to the intensity and long duration of the College Bowl, students will not have the opportunity to attend the seminars and other events held on Friday and Saturday.  You will still be able to attend the Awards Show, Career/Graduate School Fair, Student Leadership Luncheon and participate in the Protégé Mentor Program.

Both the College Bowl track and the Seminar track fulfill the goals of professional development and the right set of circumstances to network with industry recruiters and professionals. The College Bowl provides a fun, creative opportunity to showcase your true skills and talents beyond the typical resume profile. You will also gain intimate knowledge of the work environments, career paths and hiring processes of the participating technology leaders. You will be part of an environment where students can freely discuss and interact with corporate representatives on sensitive topics such as professional skills necessary for success in the workplace.

The last day to sign up for the College Bowl is August 31, 2008.  Anyone who signs up after this date may be put on a waiting list.

No, students may not form their own teams. Company representatives chose their teams which are formed utilizing a “draft-style” format. Students must actively market themselves and be invited to be on a particular team. After this initial round of interaction, all coaches face off in a round-robin draft selection process, each selecting their top choices for their team.

While any student can participate in the College Bowl, it is highly recommended for sophomores and juniors.

You may participate in the College Bowl again; however, we highly recommend sharing the opportunity with other students from your campus.
